Academic Coursework

CEUs may be awarded for academic coursework. CEUs may only be awarded for academic coursework from an accredited institution during the participant’s current cycle. A grade of ‘C’ or better or “pass” in pass/fail courses is required for CEUs. If courses are non-credit or audited, CEUs can be earned through the PINRA process.

To apply for  CEUs for academic coursework, please send the following to tridcmp@gmail.com no later than 30 days prior to your cycle end date (if possible).

  1.  Syllabus or detailed course description including course name/number, credit hours, length of term, and detailed educational objectives
  2.  Academic Coursework formFill out the first section  of the form (stopping at “name of approved sponsor”) and then sign where it says “signature of the participant”.
  3. You will need to fill out a separate academic coursework form for each each course for which you are seeking CEUs.
  4.  Verification of accreditation in the CHEA database (you can enter your academic institution’s information at www.chea.org to verify and take a screenshot to send to TRID CMP)
  5. Copy of Unofficial Transcript showing your full name, the course name, the date completed,  and the grade you received for the course.

Please note that this process MUST be completed before the end of your CMP cycle and the class MUST be taken during the current CMP cycle. Courses taken in a semester will receive 1.5 CEUs per credit hour (e.g. for a 3 credit semester long class you will be awarded 4.5 CEUs).
